Lawlessness in Los Angeles: ICE Raids, Riots, and Political Gaslighting

BLOCK 1 (11:00 Minutes) A battalion of 500 U.S. Marines are mobilizing to Los Angeles to respond to anti-immigration enforcement riots, Fox News has learned. The Marines, from the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines at Twentynine Palms, California, will protect federal property and personnel. The deployment follows President Trump's earlier move of sending 2,000 National Guard troops to the city.

Trump stated, "I think we have it very well under control," while also warning that disrespect toward troops, like spitting, "will be hit harder than they have ever been hit before."

California Governor Gavin Newsom responded with a lawsuit against the Trump administration and claimed the mobilization was "completely uncalled for." The governor and California Attorney General argue that Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth violated state sovereignty.

Meanwhile, Rep. Maxine Waters made headlines after a video showed her having a federal building door shut in her face while trying to check on SEIU union leader David Huerta. Waters was also caught on video confronting armed agents, accusing them of becoming pawns of Trump. "If you shoot me, you better shoot straight," she said, escalating tensions on the ground.

BLOCK 2 (8:50 Minutes) President Trump stated he would support the arrest of California Governor Gavin Newsom if he obstructs ICE operations. During a press interaction, Trump remarked that he would arrest Newsom if he were ICE Border Czar Tom Homan. Newsom responded on X, calling it a step toward authoritarianism.

ICE raids in Los Angeles triggered protests that quickly turned violent, with agents under attack and flags burned. Newsom denounced the actions as "reckless" and "cruel," while Homan countered, saying, "No one’s above the law." The discussion on whether state officials can obstruct federal law enforcement continues to escalate.

Gabe Evans, also criticized sanctuary policies and visa overstays. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries dismissed the resolution, calling it political. Evans fired back, citing his military and police background.

EXTRA STORY: Greta Thunberg Intercepted by Israel Greta Thunberg was aboard a yacht intercepted by Israel en route to Gaza. Israel labeled the voyage a media stunt, while Thunberg’s group called it a humanitarian mission. The activists were taken to Ashdod for medical checks. Meanwhile, media coverage has been minimal, overshadowed by the LA riots.
